This turned out rather nicely.[Design Name] began life as one of our original hand-drawn Brix + Bailey illustrations, tucked away in the archive doing absolutely nothing useful.Which seemed a bit of a waste.So we’ve dusted it off, tinkered with it enormously, turned it into a rather fabulous repeat pattern and, somewhat inevitably, made a lampshade out of it.Each one is printed and handmade to order in the UK, especially for you. No enormous pile of them sitting in a warehouse. No slightly panicked sale six months later because we accidentally ordered 4,000.You order one.We make one.A surprisingly sensible arrangement, really.THE ARTWORKThe design began with an actual drawing.By hand.With pens, pencils, paint and all the tiny peculiarities that come with somebody actually sitting down and drawing something rather than asking a computer to make it look “a bit botanical”.We’ve carefully reworked the original Brix + Bailey artwork for fabric, keeping all those lovely little imperfections intact.Because perfect is all very well, but it can be terribly dull.CHOOSE YOUR FABRICLuxury Soft-Touch VelvetPlush, rich and ever so slightly showing off.
