In 2022 he entered the Etsy Design Awards, made the shortlist, and then won the Grand Prize outright against thousands of entries, which is a rather extraordinary thing to happen to a man working out of a home studio with a paintbrush and a reasonable amount of optimism.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\n\u003cp\u003eThe work has grown up considerably since those first plywood circles. Terracotta and metal details have arrived alongside the classic ply, the paint patterns have become properly ambitious, and a laser cutter has widened what is possible without making any of it look machine-made. The style sits squarely in mid century modern territory: bold geometry, confident colour, and precisely the sort of piece that fills an awkward stretch of wall without turning the room into a gallery.
