Korissa

Designed in New York, Made by Hand in Bangladesh.

KORISSA was started in 2017 by two New York interior designers who had spent years among immaculate surfaces and began to miss anything that looked as though a person had actually made it. Their pieces are designed in New York and made by hand in Bangladesh, in seagrass, jute and terracotta, and the small variations from one piece to the next are very much the point.

The terracotta bread warmer is the signature, warmed in the oven and set in a woven basket beneath the bread, which keeps the rolls hot through dinner and makes the table look rather more organised than the cook feels. There are storage baskets, placemats and plant pots too, and gift boxes for anyone who would prefer the wrapping done for them.

For more for the table, have a browse of our kitchen + dining and dining + tableware collections. If it's a present, carry on to gift sets + hampers. There are more businesses like this one in women-led brands, and more from across the Atlantic in American by design.

If you're making something rather good, we'd love to hear about it.

We're selective. In the nicest possible way.
