Norway's Warmest Idea, in Several Colours.

Nesna lobben are the traditional Norwegian felted wool boots, originally from Nesna in the north of Norway, and so light and warm that dog mushers swear by them. There's no left or right: both boots are identical, and the felt slowly softens and moulds to whichever foot you give it, so it's best to keep each one on the same side. It's a level of loyalty we've never managed with any pair of shoes.

Two Sizes Up, and Trust Us on This.

Order two sizes bigger than your usual shoes, especially if thick wool socks are part of the plan, which in a proper winter they should be. They're at their very best in cold, dry weather, so keep them for the crisp days and let your wellies handle the slush.
