It Started With a Handbag

Twelve years ago, we were two siblings with a bag brand, considerable optimism, and a studio in London that was frankly too small for the both of us. We designed things we rather fancied ourselves, sold them in New York and London, and slowly built up a network of independent makers, boutiques and brands doing extraordinarily good work.

Then we noticed something. The best ones — the small-batch ceramicists, the London ateliers, the New York designers making things by hand — were almost impossible to find unless you already knew where to look.

They deserved a proper home. Somewhere built around them, not bolted on as an afterthought. So we built it.

We operate between London and New York because that's where we are, and because those two cities between them contain an unreasonable concentration of brilliant independent makers. We're not sentimental about geography though — our brands come from Copenhagen, Paris, Kolkata, Sydney, and everywhere in between. What matters is the work, not the postcode.

What We Actually Do

We do the searching so you don't have to. We find the brands, vet them, onboard them, and present them properly. You browse, discover, and buy directly — with the confidence of knowing that someone with taste and twelve years of experience has already done the hard work.

We're also building tools to help independent brands reach the right customers — because brilliant makers deserve proper visibility and a platform that genuinely
champions them.
