Zerobarracento
A coat made of one fibre, which is the only kind that can actually be recycled.
Zerobarracento works in mono-fibre fabrics, incorporates the selvedge rather than trimming it off, and leaves out components that cannot be taken apart again. That combination is the difference between a garment that could be recycled and one that merely says so on a swing tag. Have a browse through women's coats and jackets.
Zero waste, meaning the pattern.
Zero-waste pattern cutting is a specific discipline: the pieces are laid out so the whole length of cloth is used and nothing is left on the cutting room floor. It constrains what a garment can look like, which is why very few brands bother.
Designed and made in Italy.
The whole process, start to finish. The name reads as zero slash one hundred in Italian, which is the brand's own summary of what it is aiming at. Seasonless, and cut without reference to gender or age. Sits among our sustainable brands, ethical brands and European brands. The stories are in the journal.
