Loofahs, Grown By The Same Family For Generations

A farm in southern Turkey

Enver grew up on a family farm in the south of Turkey, where the sun is generous and his family have grown loofahs the traditional way for generations, alongside apricots, grapefruit, cotton and bay berries. A loofah is a gourd. You grow it, dry it, and what is left is the scrubbing thing in your bathroom, which comes as a surprise to most people who assume it arrived from a factory.

A stall in Camden, and a marriage

Eco Bath began as a small stall in Camden Market. It was there that Enver met Sebnem, and the two of them still run the business together, which makes the stall responsible for rather more than the company.

The traditional Turkish bath, unpacked

Epsom salt soaks blended with aromatherapy oils, FSC certified sisal and bristle body brushes, hemp exfoliating gloves, pumice stones, foot files, natural sea sponges, handmade soaps and soap dishes, deodorant stones, organic cotton towels and robes. Most of it is a straightforward alternative to a plastic version of the same thing.

Packed in recycled materials, never tested on animals
