Cufflinks Made From a Trout.

A fisherman in Estonia came home with a brown trout, looked at its skin, and decided it was too handsome to throw away. That is the entire origin of Eherüs, which takes its name from the Võru dialect word for brown trout, and which now turns river trout leather into cufflinks, tie pins and other small things a man wears without mentioning.

No two the same, for once genuinely.

Every fish carries a different scale pattern, so every pair comes out slightly different, and the phrase "one of a kind" is being used accurately rather than hopefully. Set in stainless steel and sterling silver, they are small, quiet and considerably more interesting than the person wearing them will let on.

Fish caught for dinner, not for jewellery.

The brand is careful about this and says so repeatedly: no trout is caught for the purpose of making accessories, and all fishing is done in season with the proper permits. The skin would otherwise be thrown away, which is what happened to it for several thousand years before somebody had a better idea.
