Most cosmetics contain preservatives because most cosmetics contain water, and water in a jar is an invitation to everything you would rather not put on your face. Haoma sidesteps the problem by leaving the water out, which means no preservatives and no emulsifiers either. It is a harder way to make skincare and a shorter ingredients list at the end of it.

The range runs from single-note eau de parfum to deodorants, facial toner, hair treatments, beard oil and massage oils, all handmade in small batches in England. The perfumes are built without synthetic fragrance molecules, which is why the ylang ylang smells like ylang ylang and not like the idea of it.

Concentrated, so used sparingly.

Without water doing the bulking, a little goes considerably further than you expect, and the first application is usually twice as much as anyone needs. The bottles are small for the same reason.
