Men's Knitwear

The Quiet Half Of Any Decent Wardrobe.

A good jumper is one of the very few garments that asks nothing of you. It does not need to be thought about, it works over almost anything, and if it is made properly it will still be going long after whatever you bought it to go with has been given away. That is a rather low bar on paper and an extraordinarily high one in practice, which is why most knitwear disappoints by about the third wash.

The range here runs the whole way from fine gauge pieces light enough for a March morning that cannot decide what it is doing, to the sort of substantial winter knit that renders a coat optional and an argument unnecessary. Merino where you want it against the skin, lambswool where you want the weight, cotton for the months in between. Texture is the thing to look for: a cable or a rib does more for an otherwise plain outfit than almost any amount of pattern elsewhere.

For the rest of it, have a browse of our men's tops and shirts and trousers and jeans collections, or carry on to coats and jackets, men's accessories and footwear. There is more for him in our gifts for him edit, and the full menswear collection is worth a look while you are here.
