Eight Tonnes of Flip-Flops, Reconsidered.

The ocean is, among other things, full of discarded flip-flops. Three people decided to go and collect some, which is the part most of us skip. What they bring back is cleaned, shredded and pressed into the sole of a sandal, around 300g a pair and eight tonnes so far, and because rubbish arrives as whatever it happens to be, no two soles come out the same. Yours will be slightly different in a way nobody else's is, which is rather the point.

The Rest of It.

A cork footbed made partly from old wine stoppers, topped with natural latex for comfort, and uppers in vegan leather or, on the Coco, palm fibre. They're V-Label certified vegan and assembled in Spain.

One Practical Matter.

Size up, especially if your feet are on the wider side. The people who made them say so, and they'd know.
