Ice Cream and Chocolate, Made in Salcombe.
Salcombe Dairy has been making ice cream in Salcombe for over forty years, with milk from the local farm, and at some point decided one delicious thing wasn't enough and took up bean-to-bar chocolate as well. Both are made on Island Street, the ice cream behind a shop window and the chocolate behind glass walls, so passers-by can watch the whole business and feel faintly envious.
The chocolate runs to twenty flavours of The Bar, alongside truffles, hot chocolate and gift boxes, which makes the range dangerously easy to justify as a present and just as easy to open yourself on the way home.

In Salcombe itself, the chocolate factory at Hannaford's Landing sits a few metres from the ice cream shop on Island Street.
