Soho Poms
Named For A Squad Of Pomeranians. Obviously.
The brand began in Soho with a group of Pomeranians, which is exactly the sort of origin story that sounds invented and is not. Charlotte and the Pom-Squad have since taken the thing international, but the central preoccupation has not changed: a small dog in a bag needs a firm base and three layers underneath it, not the flimsy sling that most of the market considers adequate. Their customers say so repeatedly and at length, which is the only review worth having.
The carriers come named rather than numbered, Rainy Bear and Berwick and Camden, with an orthopaedic cushion inside, a carabiner to clip onto a harness, and a fleece that absorbs whatever a damp Tuesday produces. Around them sits everything else a small dog could be persuaded to accept: denim harnesses, collars, coats warm enough for a Pomeranian who has opinions about January, and a shampoo and conditioner that their customers claim does remarkable things to a fringe. Sized for Poms, Shih Tzus and pugs, and rather more generously than the name suggests.
