Four thousand is approximately the number of nappy changes standing between a new parent and the day it all stops, and a fair proportion happen on somebody else's bathroom floor at an hour that does not bear discussing. Given the volume, the equipment turns out to matter considerably more than the brochures let on.
Reusable, disposable, or the honest answer
Which is both. Almost nobody picks one and holds the line. Cloth at home, something disposable for the weekend away, and a plan formed in pregnancy that lasts until roughly week three. Both are here, with no argument attached and no implication about the sort of person you are.
The unglamorous apparatus
Changing mats, wet bags, reusable wipes, inserts, boosters, storage, and barrier creams for skin that has had enough. Also the portable changing mat, which nobody buys in advance and everybody later wishes they had, usually at the precise moment of realising.
We name the certificate, not the adjective
Claims arrive thick and fast in this category, and most of them are adjectives. Where a brand holds a certification we name it on its own page, with the certifying body attached. It is duller and considerably more useful.
