By day it’s a crisp, clean drum shade carrying one of our own Brix + Bailey designs. Switch it on and the light shines straight through the print, and the whole thing glows like it’s just heard some rather good news.

THE GLOW:
The print sits on a light-filtering fabric. When the lamp is off, you see the design in crisp colour. When it’s on, the light shines through the printed areas, so the colours take on a softer, luminous depth. Lighter designs glow brightly; deeper colours give a moodier, more atmospheric light.
DIMENSIONS:
One size: 13" diameter x 9.8" height (33cm x 25cm). The top and bottom are the same width, giving a classic straight-sided drum.
FITTING:
This shade has a ring fitting with a 1.65" (4.2cm) opening, positioned at the top of the shade. That makes it a lovely match for arc floor lamps and ceiling pendants, where the shade hangs elegantly down from the bulb. A quick measure of your lamp holder before ordering ensures a perfect fit. Pop the ring in the right way up and the shade hangs beautifully level.
PRINT PLACEMENT:
Every shade is printed individually, so colour and placement can vary very slightly from one to the next. We like to think of it as a small signature of being made just for you.
COLOUR ON SCREEN:
Colours can look a little different from one screen to another, and a print always looks a touch different again once the light shines through it. Think of our photographs as an introduction rather than the full conversation.

Lampshade Specification
MATERIALS & PRINTING:
Bleached polyester-cotton fabric on a metal frame. The design is UV printed on the outside of the shade for crisp detail and rich colour. The inside is left a clean, bright white, which helps bounce the light around nicely.
FITTING:
Ring fitting with a 1.65" (4.2cm) opening, set at the top of the shade for arc floor lamps and ceiling pendants.
SIZING:
13" diameter x 9.8" height (33cm x 25cm).
BULBS:
We recommend LED bulbs, which stay cool and keep your shade looking its best for longer. The right bulb type and wattage depend on your lamp or ceiling fitting, so do follow the manufacturer’s guidance for that.
CARE:
A gentle dust or a light wipe with a soft dry cloth is all it needs.

There is no warehouse. That is rather the point, and it does have consequences.
Every brand here packs and posts its own orders, in its own boxes, with tracked delivery. The brands you can see are the ones that ship to your country, so your parcel is usually making a fairly short journey: a potter in Bristol posting to Britain, a studio in California posting within America.
Which does mean that an order from three brands arrives as three parcels, posted by three different people, on three different days. Whether that is an inconvenience or a small extended birthday rather depends on your temperament. It also means three lots of postage, shown before you pay, because we would rather mention it here than at the till.

UK Domestic: 2–5 business days
Coming from further afield: 7–14 days. Usually quicker, but let's not prmise and it will be a lovely surprise!

Fourteen days from delivery to tell us you have changed your mind, and fourteen more to get it back to us. No reason required, and we will not make you give one.
You are allowed to open it and try it on. Handle it as you would in a shop, and we will not quibble. Handle it as you would a rental car and we may deduct something for the difference.
Return postage is yours to pay, because the brand at the other end is a workshop rather than a warehouse. Some cover it themselves, and if yours does you will not be charged. Whatever you paid us to send it out, we refund either way, and the money goes back the way it came within fourteen days of the parcel reaching the brand.
A few things cannot come back, and only these: anything made or personalised to your order, sealed beauty products once the seal is broken, and anything perishable.
If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, none of the above applies. It costs you nothing, and we sort it.
