Casa by Josephine Jenno was founded in London in 2022 by Josephine Jenno, an Australian entrepreneur with a long-standing habit of looking at other people's antiques. The premise is slow decor and eternal style: pieces drawn from treasured antiques and design traditions around the world, turned into handcrafted rattan, hand-painted Vietri tableware, sculptural vases, candleholders and the sort of curiosities that give a room something to say for itself. The showroom sits by the river in Chelsea.

Rattan, made by hand and paid forward

The rattan is split, framed, woven, sanded and checked entirely by hand in artisan villages, passing through several pairs of hands before it is finished. Casa donates a percentage of every rattan sale to economic and educational development programmes for the women who make it.

Where beauty and utility already got along

The Kitchen Garden Collection draws on the English tradition in which useful things were also expected to be handsome, an arrangement that worked for centuries before anyone thought to separate them.
