Warsaw By Way Of Montmartre

A question nobody in Poland had asked

Kasia Bachor, a graphic designer, was struck by the art-covered boutiques of Montmartre and wondered why Polish children's rooms could not have the same. She started Dekornik in Warsaw in 2009, and since 2014 has done nothing else, which is a considerable narrowing of ambition and evidently the right one.

Four designers, all of whom get children

Everything is drawn in-house by a small team with an unmistakable feel for the world small people actually live in. Animals, forests, underwater scenes, and fairytales that stop just short of being frightening at three in the morning.

Three ways to put it on a wall

Wallpaper by the roll at 100cm by 280cm, wall stickers for anyone unwilling to commit or unable to paste, and plywood wall boards. The stickers in particular are the answer for a rented flat, a changeable child, or both.
