Rivers, which act like conveyor belts, gather more and more debris as they flow downstream and it is estimated that 1000 rivers are responsible for nearly 80% of global annual riverine plastic emissions into the ocean. It was calculated that the levels as of 2022, it is equivalent to dumping a rubbish truck (1 ton) of plastic into the ocean per minute.
Towards combatting plastic pollution and in collaboration with Think Ocean to help raise awareness of and support their ongoing efforts, the Think Ocean 06 Japan Gurafiku Heavy Organic Cotton Hoodie was designed in-house and is manufactured-to-order on demand in our best effort to overcome the two biggest contributors to waste in fashion: overproduction and guesswork. Heavyweight, super soft and eco-consciously made, this Think Ocean x ANCHOR & CREW hoodie features:
- Coloured contrast-colour polar bear and ice motif with 'For our future, empowering our communities and protecting the planet' in Japanese, and matching Japan flag, text and motif. A nod to Gurafiku, Japanese magazines and graphic design
- Certified 100% organic cotton
- Super-soft, 350gsm heavy cotton
- Regular fit style with set-in sleeves, front pouch pocket and ribbed cuffs and hem
- Drawstrings with metal eyelets and end stoppers
- Double-layered hood
- Printed and finished in United Kingdom (GB)
