Nossa Padel
Padel Kit From Manchester, Built Around The Weekly Game
NOSSA make padel rackets and the kit you need to get them to a court. Two rackets, a bag, a sleeve, and the small things that vanish between games: overgrips, a carbon frame protector, a sweat towel, a clip for the keys you keep leaving in the changing room. It is a short list, and that appears to be on purpose.
The name is Portuguese for "ours". Padel is a game for four, most of whom are having a perfectly nice time without being especially good at it, and NOSSA have built the range around that rather than around the tournament circuit.
The Two Rackets
The BASE is what you buy once the club's rental racket has started to feel like a compromise. The CORE sits above it, a 12K carbon teardrop that NOSSA position for intermediate and advanced play, which in practice means you know what a bandeja (the defensive overhead) is and land one more often than not. Both come in two colourways, neither of which involves flames.
Bags, Sleeves And Small Necessities
The HYBRID is a rucksack and duffel in one, sized for rackets, shoes and the change of clothes you optimistically packed. The SLEEVE is the cheaper answer for anyone whose court is a ten minute walk away. Then the overgrips, the frame protector and the towel, all of which are the sort of thing you buy without thinking about it and are quite glad of later.
Who It Is For
People who have played six or seven times and privately accepted they are going to keep playing. Padel has grown very fast in Britain and a great many first rackets get chosen in a hurry, usually on the basis of which one looked most serious. NOSSA's range is small enough that the decision takes about a minute, which we suspect is the entire idea.
