Kim Smith, Matt McNeill and Pedram Mehrshahi started Kloris in 2018 because they had each gone looking for decent CBD products and found the category to be, put politely, a shambles: vague labelling, wildly variable quality, and a great many claims nobody could stand behind. Their response was to build the opposite. Every batch is independently lab tested and certified for purity and potency, the certificates are published, and the formulations are developed with plant scientists rather than assembled in a hurry.

The range covers oils, balms, patches, bath blocks, face oil and a skincare line that brings mushroom extracts in alongside the hemp. It is made in the UK, the packaging is recyclable and largely biodegradable, and it is stocked by Boots and Selfridges and used in treatments at Bvlgari, Six Senses and Nobu, which is an unusually serious set of credentials for a category this young.
