Baby Feeding + Mealtimes

Mealtimes, Or Whatever That Was

The optimism of the first spoonful

Weaning is a long negotiation conducted almost entirely in purée, and most of it ends up somewhere other than the child. The things here are chosen with that firmly in mind: wipeable, catchable, and designed by people who have knelt on a kitchen floor at half past six with a cloth.

What is in it

Plates and bowls with suction that genuinely holds, bamboo and silicone sets, cups, cutlery sized for small hands, long-sleeved bibs for the properly enthusiastic, splash mats for the floor beneath, and footrests for the highchair, which matter more than anybody expects.

Why a footrest

A child with nowhere to put their feet fidgets. Knees at roughly ninety degrees makes sitting comfortable, and a comfortable child is considerably more likely to eat something. It is the least glamorous item in the collection and the one that changes the most.

Where a certification exists, we name it

With the certifying body attached, on the individual brand page. Food contact matters here, so we would rather be specific than reassuring.

If you're making something rather good, we'd love to hear about it.

We're selective. In the nicest possible way.
