Payment Options
Paying Us Is the Easy Part. Here Is Every Way to Do It.
We offer a variety of ways to pay at Brix + Bailey, all handled securely at checkout when you place your order. Prices include UK VAT where applicable, and if you shop in another currency, the conversion is shown clearly before you pay.
Debit and credit cards
We accept all major debit and credit cards, including [Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro].
PayPal
Use your PayPal account to complete your order quickly and securely, no card-fetching required.
Apple Pay
Pay swiftly and securely with the details saved on your device, on supported Apple devices and browsers.
Google Pay
Use your Google-saved details to make your payment in a few taps.
Shop Pay
An accelerated checkout through Shopify Payments that remembers your details, so future orders take seconds.
Pay Later Options
Available to UK residents aged 18 and over only. Pay-later options let you spread the cost of your purchase. They are regulated credit products, so do read the terms carefully before choosing one.
Shop Pay Installments
Eligible UK orders between £50 and £30,000 can be split into instalments through Shop Pay, with payment options provided by Affirm. Choose Shop Pay at checkout and any instalment options you qualify for appear alongside paying in full, subject to an eligibility check by Affirm. Borrowing more than you can afford, or paying late, may affect your financial situation and your ability to obtain credit. Questions about an existing payment plan go to Shop Pay support directly, since we never see your credit arrangements, only your very good taste.
Security, briefly and reassuringly
Checkout runs on Shopify's PCI DSS compliant platform over an encrypted connection. We never see or store your card details, which suits everybody. Occasionally an order fails verification checks; if we ever have to cancel one, you are refunded in full straight away.
One payment, however many parcels
Since our independent brands ship from their own studios and workshops, an order containing several brands may arrive as separate parcels. You are charged once, at checkout, for the whole order, and any refund goes back to the payment method you used.
Frequently Asked Questions on Payment
What payment methods do you accept?
Nearly all of them, we're delighted to say. All major debit and credit cards, including [Visa, Mastercard, American Express and Maestro], plus PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay and Shop Pay. Eligible UK orders can also be split into instalments through Shop Pay, provided by Affirm, for those moments when the heart has committed rather faster than the bank balance.
Who do I ask about my payment plan?
Shop Pay support, directly, and they really are rather good at it. Your instalment plan lives with Shop Pay and Affirm, and we never see your credit arrangements, only your excellent taste, so they can help where we genuinely cannot.
Can I change my payment plan, or settle it early?
Not through us, alas: we have no levers to pull on a credit agreement, which is probably for the best, given how we are with levers. Contact Shop Pay support and they can talk you through changing a plan or settling it early, if you're feeling flush.
What happens to my payments if I return one item from a larger order?
Your refund goes back the way it came, as all well-mannered money should. Paid in full? It lands on your original payment method. Paid in instalments? The refund flows through your plan, and any remaining payments are usually reduced by the refunded amount, with Shop Pay support on hand to show you the exact arithmetic. And returning one brand's parcel from a multi-brand order never troubles the rest, which arrives, or stays, entirely unbothered.
Can I use instalments on anything?
Almost anything, which is either wonderful or dangerous depending on your discipline. UK orders between £50 and £30,000, including shipping and taxes, are eligible, though gift cards and subscription products sit this one out. The options you're offered are decided by Affirm's eligibility check at checkout, over which we have precisely no influence, however charming you are.
Will using instalments affect my credit score?
The basic eligibility check is a soft one, which leaves your credit score entirely unruffled. The grown-up caveat still applies: borrowing more than you can afford, or paying late, may affect your financial situation and your ability to obtain credit, so do borrow like the sensible person we take you for.
Are there any fees for paying in instalments?
Depending on the plan, interest from 0% APR may apply, and Affirm shows you the full cost, in plain figures, before you commit to a penny of it. Nothing lurks in the small print, though missing a payment may affect your ability to obtain credit, which is the least hidden charge of all.
What if I return my whole order?
Entirely your right, and no hard feelings, though we'll admit to a small sigh. Return it within the window in our returns policy and your refund goes to your original payment method. Paid in instalments? If the plan is settled, the full amount comes back to you; if payments remain, you're refunded what you've paid and the rest are cancelled. Nobody keeps paying for something they no longer have, which strikes us as only civilised.
