A rock dove for the ages. A money making man in the city. Round, pigeony and ready to sell sell sell. Entirely handmade and dressed in his finery. I loved the concept of having a city full of pigeons, but they're all busy and with jobs to do.
Like all my handmade items, this pigeon is wheel-thrown ceramic on the potter's wheel in a lovely speckled grey Sibelco clay. I then add on a stylish hat and a very fetching business briefcase. Underglazed with a pigeon colour palette and then kiln fired with a transparent sheen.
