Mellow Apricot Studio began in Manchester in 2023, when a Swiss graphic designer stepped away from the corporate world to follow her own ideas, which, judging by the results, were a good deal more fun than the meetings. It is still a one-woman studio, and everything in it is designed around creativity and a little calm: cheerful sunflowers and pumpkins, wildlife and phases of the moon, all drawn with the sort of gentle good humour that makes even a Monday to-do list seem almost optional.

The notebooks are thread-stitched by hand in the UK, with recycled covers and pages of bamboo and cotton paper that take ink rather beautifully. Alongside them sit colouring desk calendars with journal prompts, some of which can be personalised, wall and moon calendars to brighten up a wall, tasselled bookmarks, washi tape, sticker sheets and postcards. It all makes for lovely small presents, and it is dangerously easy to buy one for yourself while ostensibly shopping for someone else.
