Kati Kaia

Paintings You Stand On.

Kati Kaia yoga mats begin as abstract paintings, hand-painted in a studio in the Surrey Hills by a founder who came to this via a dance career and a decade designing for Vivienne Westwood and Diane von Furstenberg. The artwork is then printed onto the mat, so the thing you unroll at six in the morning is a piece of work rather than a black rectangle.

Natural rubber, and a surface that grips.

The mats are natural rubber with a vegan suede top made from recycled PET bottles, printed with water-based inks, and cut generously at 183cm by 66cm for anyone who has spent years with a heel hanging off the end. They have been voted best luxury yoga mat by The Independent's IndyBest more than once.

And the rest of the ritual.

Beyond mats there are meditation kits, essential oil blends, sage and incense, and crystal mala jewellery handmade in Rishikesh. It is a complete set of props for the part of the day you have decided to take seriously.

For the rest of the practice, have a browse of our yoga mats and the wider yoga store, or carry on to health + wellness. There are more businesses like this one in women-led brands, and more brands based in Britain in our British brands.
