Fashion for Dogs & Cats, by Two People Who Went to Fashion College. We Did Not See That Coming Either.
Overglam London was founded in 2018 by two cousins who grew up treating their dogs as members of the family, and then went off to study at the London College of Fashion and Norwich University of the Arts respectively. Having dressed up and photographed their dogs for years, they concluded that most pet clothing was, to put it politely, not very good. So they started their own label, with a mission statement we rather admire for its lack of ambiguity: eradicate boring design.
The result is a proper wardrobe for dogs. Jumpers and knitwear for the colder months, hoodies and jackets, button-up shirts in apricot for summer, and a light adjustable harness in cream or avocado for days when clothes would be excessive. Collars and leads finish the outfit. Each collection is themed around the real parts of a dog's day, which mostly involves walks, naps and being admired.
There is even the odd piece of matching human wear, for owners who have decided that if you are going to be looked at in the park, you may as well coordinate.
