Swole Panda

Socks You Will Find Yourself Talking About

Two brothers and a strong opinion

Oliver and James Slacke started Swole Panda in East Sussex in 2017, having concluded that most socks are made thin, made fast and made without much thought. Theirs are knitted from 75% Moso bamboo viscose with 22% polyamide and 3% elastane, hand-linked at the seams so there is no ridge across the toe, and reinforced where socks actually go.

Certified, not merely claimed

Swole Panda has been a Certified B Corporation since 2024, which involves an outside body going through the books rather than the brand saying encouraging things about itself. The bamboo is produced in a closed-loop process that reuses its water and solvents. Elsewhere in the range there is fabric made from recycled ocean plastic bottles and eucalyptus from FSC and PEFC certified sources.

Highland cows, pheasants, gorillas, bees

Bold designs and classic stripes, for men and women, sizes from UK 4-7 up to 12-15, with some designs in children's sizes so a family can match if a family insists. They arrive in FSC-certified packaging, which makes the gifting decision straightforward.

They will refund you if you disagree

Swole Panda offer your money back if you do not think theirs are the best socks you have worn. That is a confident position for a sock company to take in public, and confidence of that sort is usually earned.

If you're making something rather good, we'd love to hear about it.

We're selective. In the nicest possible way.
