Belle Buds is a faithful reproduction of a mid-19th century French wallpaper design, likely originating around the 1850s during the height of the Romantic period in European decorative arts. This era favored naturalistic motifs, delicate florals, and refined symmetry—qualities beautifully captured in this design.
The pattern features elegant vertical garlands composed of roses, forget-me-nots, and scattered floral buds, arranged in a rhythmic ascent. This structure reflects the influence of early Empire and Romantic interior design, which emphasized harmony and decorative order, particularly in Parisian salons and provincial châteaux.
The soft, parchment-toned background is typical of wallpapers from this period, designed to lend warmth and subtle sophistication to interiors. Hanging and Care Paste the wall. Use a quality pre-mix tub adhesive for non-woven wallpapers.Avoid contact with the printed surface.
