A Rather Splendid Jute Tote That Actually Does What You Need It To

Look, we'll be honest with you. This isn't just another bag you'll abandon in the back of your cupboard. It's a gorgeously crafted, hand-loomed jute tote in the most marvellous shade of blue and natural cream that somehow manages to be both utterly fetching and properly functional. Whether you're popping to the weekend markets or need something that doesn't look entirely ridiculous slung over your shoulder for daily errands, this does rather well on both fronts.

Why Choose Our Blue Jute Tote Bag

Beautifully Handwoven: Each bag is hand-loomed by Fair Trade artisans, which means no two are quite identical. Lovely, really, if you fancy something with a bit of character and charm.

Naturally Dyed: We've ditched the synthetic nonsense in favour of natural dyes, because your conscience deserves a break and the planet certainly does too.

Sustainably Made: Created by artisans practising traditional techniques, which keeps heritage crafts alive while supporting communities properly.

Fabulously Durable: 100 percent handwoven jute fabric that's built to last rather longer than your average high street purchase. It'll age gracefully, picking up a few scuffs along the way like an old Barbour jacket.

Product Details

Dimensions: Approximately 16 inches tall by 16 inches wide with a 7 inch handle drop, so it's roomy enough for your weekly shopping without looking like you're preparing for expedition.

Material: 100 percent handwoven jute fabric in natural and blue tones.

A Note on Character: Because these are handcrafted, slight variations in design, colour, and size occur. We rather think that's rather good actually. It means your bag is genuinely one of a kind.

How to Look After Your Bag

This isn't difficult, we promise. Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth when needed. If you've had a mishap, don't rub at stains or spills, as this spreads them about and can loosen the fibres. Do dry it properly after any water damage, and keep it out of direct sunlight or the blue may gradually fade (which some find rather charming, but that's your call).

Invest in a bag that works as hard as you do, crafted by hands that know their trade. Quite the showstopper, and yours to own today.

There is no warehouse. That is rather the point, and it does have consequences.

Every brand here packs and posts its own orders, in its own boxes, with tracked delivery. The brands you can see are the ones that ship to your country, so your parcel is usually making a fairly short journey: a potter in Bristol posting to Britain, a studio in California posting within America.

Which does mean that an order from three brands arrives as three parcels, posted by three different people, on three different days. Whether that is an inconvenience or a small extended birthday rather depends on your temperament. It also means three lots of postage, shown before you pay, because we would rather mention it here than at the till.

Roughly how long

UK Domestic: 2–5 business days

Coming from further afield: 7–14 days. Usually quicker, but let's not prmise and it will be a lovely surprise!

Estimates, not promises. Each brand sends its own tracking, so you will be kept extremely well

Need help? Just ask.Our small team is here.

Fourteen days from delivery to tell us you have changed your mind, and fourteen more to get it back to us. No reason required, and we will not make you give one.

You are allowed to open it and try it on. Handle it as you would in a shop, and we will not quibble. Handle it as you would a rental car and we may deduct something for the difference.

Return postage is yours to pay, because the brand at the other end is a workshop rather than a warehouse. Some cover it themselves, and if yours does you will not be charged. Whatever you paid us to send it out, we refund either way, and the money goes back the way it came within fourteen days of the parcel reaching the brand.

A few things cannot come back, and only these: anything made or personalised to your order, sealed beauty products once the seal is broken, and anything perishable.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, none of the above applies. It costs you nothing, and we sort it.

Just email mail@brixbailey.com — we'll guide you through it.
