British independent making is in considerably better shape than the shopping streets imply, largely because so much of it happens in small workshops that never needed a shopping street. This collection brings together independently owned brands from all four nations, across fashion, jewellery, homeware and food. There are women-led brands, family-owned businesses, and the resell, upcycled and vintage edit for brands making rather good use of what everyone else threw out.
