Is your leather sustainable?

Given that a significant environmental impact of leather occurs during its manufacture, the sustainability of leather isn't solely determined by the tanning chemicals used. That's why water usage, wastewater treatment, air emissions, and energy consumption are all carefully managed at our tanneries. We work closely with our partner to ensure they are working towards and achieving adherence to best practices. The leather we use is a by-product of the meat and dairy industries, and we expressly avoid leather from animals bred solely for their hides.

  3. The Seam will match you with an expert maker within 24 hours.
  4. For alterations (a London-only service), your maker will schedule a fitting with you.
  5. For repairs, you will be able to generate a postage label and send your item to the maker.
  6. Your maker will keep you updated on the progress of your project, set the price for the work, and return your item within seven working days.
