Which is either admirable focus or a mild obsession, and on the evidence a bit of both. Organic cotton, long and short, at a price that does not require a lengthy internal negotiation. Everything else in the range arrived afterwards, in the way things do when somebody has got one thing extremely right.
The towels are the Turkish sort, which is the good sort.
Peshtemal, flat-woven rather than looped. They fold to almost nothing, dry in a fraction of the time, and get softer with every wash instead of stiffer. Anybody who has taken one to a beach never packs the other kind again, and becomes rather tedious on the subject.
Eyes, suns and a cheetah nobody has explained
The prints draw on Turkish decorative tradition, including the nazar, the eye worn to keep misfortune at a distance. Whether one believes in that is a private matter. It looks extremely good on a sleeve either way.
And precisely one lounge suit
Sitting alone in its own collection, off-white, surrounded by forty-five robes. It is either the start of something or an experiment that wandered off, and we are quietly hoping for the former.
