The living room

The room that gets the visitors and therefore the budget. Start with furniture, then lighting, which does more for a room than anything else at the same price. After that cushions and blankets and throws for texture, wall art and mirrors and clocks for the walls, and decorative accessories for the surfaces in between.

The bedroom

A third of your life, usually furnished with whatever did not suit downstairs. Begin with bedding, blankets and throws, since that is the part that actually touches you, and linen, cotton and wool behave differently enough to be worth choosing between deliberately. Then bedside lighting, which has one job and should do it at eleven at night rather than at noon, plus mirrors, furniture and candles and home fragrance.

The kitchen and the table

The most underestimated department on the site. Kitchen and dining covers the tools and the linen, dining and tableware the plates and glassware, and pottery and glass artists the people who made a good deal of it. Then the food hall and tea and coffee to put something on it, and the utility room for the part afterwards that nobody enjoys.

Children's rooms

Where the brief is set by someone with strong opinions and no budget. Kids home decor and baby and kids furniture for the room itself, play, toys and games for what happens in it, and the wider baby and kids collection for everything else.
