Sossu

Named after a feeling the founders say has no English equivalent.

Sossu was started in 2024 by three friends in Estonia, who named it after a word they describe as meaning the particular contentment of tea by a fire, or a hoodie that has reached its best years. Whether that survives translation is anyone's guess, but the clothes make the case reasonably well: unisex everyday pieces cut for softness first, in a colour palette somebody has clearly thought about. Worth stating plainly, since a good deal of clothing copy goes to some lengths to avoid saying it. The garments are produced in Türkiye in organic cotton, recycled polyester, recycled cotton and deadstock fabric, depending on the piece. Look through tops, shirts and tshirts and loungewear, sleepwear and gymwear.
