The Skincare Brand That Started On The Road.

Pille Lengi is a determined wanderer, and like every determined wanderer she eventually noticed what all that moving about was doing to her skin. Long-haul air, city pollution, three climates in a fortnight, and the sort of time difference that leaves a face looking like it has been through something. A spell living in Beijing introduced her to Chinese medicine and to plant oils, and the whole idea came home with her to Estonia, where it became a skincare brand made on the island she grew up on. Every year she and her family and friends go out across Saaremaa and hand-pick the plants that go into it: nettle, lady's mantle, sage, lemongrass, tea tree.

The creams are whipped into something closer to a mousse than a cream, which sounds like a flourish and turns out to be the most practical thing about them: light on, quick to sink in, and very well behaved in a small jar at the bottom of a wash bag. Alongside them are serums, including probiotic and vitamin C versions, for anyone who likes a routine with steps in it.
