Keep Your Bread Warm, Your Conscience Clear, Your Kitchen Rather Splendid

There is something rather marvellous about pulling warm bread from a basket that looks like it belongs in a gallery rather than your kitchen counter. This handcrafted bread warmer and seagrass basket set does precisely that, combining terracotta engineering with sustainably woven natural fibres to keep your loaves at that perfect temperature for hours. It is the sort of thing that makes you feel simultaneously virtuous and aesthetically accomplished, which is not a bad way to feel before breakfast.

Why Choose This Bread Warmer and Basket

  • Genuinely Handcrafted: Each piece is made by Fair Trade artisans, meaning your bread tastes fractionally better knowing it came from somewhere good
  • Keeps Bread Fresh for Hours: The terracotta plate absorbs and releases moisture with the sort of precision usually reserved for Swiss watches
  • Sustainably Made: Seagrass and jute construction that feels rather good in your hands and better in your conscience
  • Naturally Beautiful: The Tree of Life design is utterly fetching without trying too hard, rather like a properly made sourdough
  • Functional Art: Beautiful enough to leave on your table, practical enough to actually use

Product Details

  • Bread Warmer Dimensions: Approximately half an inch tall and 9 inches round
  • Basket Dimensions: Approximately 3.25 inches tall and 11 inches round
  • Materials: 100 percent terra cotta plate, basket crafted from 100 percent seagrass and jute wool
  • Colour: Natural tones that age beautifully
  • Handcrafted Variation: Each piece is genuinely unique, with slight variations in design, colour, and size that prove it was made by actual human hands rather than algorithms

How to Keep It Rather Lovely

  • Bread Warmer: Simply wipe clean with a damp cloth and dry thoroughly. Not dishwasher safe, but honestly, where is the satisfaction in that
  • Basket: Dust or vacuum regularly, and wipe gently with a damp cloth if needed. Avoid rubbing stains, as this loosens the natural fibres. Whitewash can be removed with pressure water or by hand
  • Storage: Keep out of direct sunlight to prevent fading, away from the oven, and ensure everything dries properly after any encounters with water

This is the sort of purchase that improves your life in small, daily ways. The bread stays warm, your kitchen looks rather good, and you sleep soundly knowing it was made ethically. Rather marvellous all round.

There is no warehouse. That is rather the point, and it does have consequences.

Every brand here packs and posts its own orders, in its own boxes, with tracked delivery. The brands you can see are the ones that ship to your country, so your parcel is usually making a fairly short journey: a potter in Bristol posting to Britain, a studio in California posting within America.

Which does mean that an order from three brands arrives as three parcels, posted by three different people, on three different days. Whether that is an inconvenience or a small extended birthday rather depends on your temperament. It also means three lots of postage, shown before you pay, because we would rather mention it here than at the till.

Roughly how long

UK Domestic: 2–5 business days

Coming from further afield: 7–14 days. Usually quicker, but let's not prmise and it will be a lovely surprise!

Estimates, not promises. Each brand sends its own tracking, so you will be kept extremely well

Need help? Just ask.Our small team is here.

Fourteen days from delivery to tell us you have changed your mind, and fourteen more to get it back to us. No reason required, and we will not make you give one.

You are allowed to open it and try it on. Handle it as you would in a shop, and we will not quibble. Handle it as you would a rental car and we may deduct something for the difference.

Return postage is yours to pay, because the brand at the other end is a workshop rather than a warehouse. Some cover it themselves, and if yours does you will not be charged. Whatever you paid us to send it out, we refund either way, and the money goes back the way it came within fourteen days of the parcel reaching the brand.

A few things cannot come back, and only these: anything made or personalised to your order, sealed beauty products once the seal is broken, and anything perishable.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, none of the above applies. It costs you nothing, and we sort it.

Just email mail@brixbailey.com — we'll guide you through it.
