Earth To You

A London Apothecary, Working In Oil.

No water in any of it.

Most skincare is largely water with things suspended in it, which is why most skincare needs preservatives. Earth To You work the other way round: whole plants infused slowly into oil, over weeks rather than minutes, producing balms and elixirs with nothing added to keep them stable because there is nothing in them that would spoil.

Slow infusion is a real method.

Calendula, rosehip, nettle, chamomile, rose, rosemary, yarrow, marshmallow root, burdock. Dried flowers and leaves steeped in oil until the oil takes on what was in them, then strained and blended. It is how herbalists have worked for several centuries and it cannot be hurried, which is why small brands do it and large ones do not.

The jars come back.

Frosted amber glass, refillable within the UK, cleaned and sanitised and reused rather than replaced. Outer packaging in biodegradable kraft with recycled labels, and every order supports Trees for the Future.

Made by hand, in small batches.

Balms, face and body oils, hand and eye balms, facial steams, muslin cloths and a deodorant balm, all made at their own apothecary in London. Nothing is produced in quantity, which is the constraint that makes the method possible.

One sensible note.

Skin is personal and nobody selling you a face oil knows yours. Patch test anything new, read the ingredients if you have allergies, and see a pharmacist or GP about anything that needs treating rather than moisturising.

If you're making something rather good, we'd love to hear about it.

We're selective. In the nicest possible way.
