Theo arrived at twenty-eight weeks

He had lifesaving surgery at five days old and spent a long time in neonatal intensive care. Somewhere in the middle of all that, Rachael discovered that finding clothes which fitted him, and which would not scratch skin that thin, was considerably harder than it should have been. Most parents in that position simply cope. She opened a shop.

From one and a half pounds

Sizes start smaller than most people realise clothing exists in and run up to two years. Openings positioned for wires and tubes, no labels anywhere near the skin, and cuts that work inside an incubator rather than in a photograph. These are practical answers to a set of problems that only become obvious when you are standing in front of one.

Bright, and deliberately so

Much of it organic cotton, in colours with no business being as cheerful as they are given where a good deal of it gets worn. That is not an accident either.

Simply Preemie

Rachael's own label, made specifically for premature babies and built out of the NICU experience rather than adapted down from newborn sizing. It is the part of the range that exists because she could not find it anywhere else.
