‘Kingswood’

'Kingswood’ captures a magnificent autumnal view of Bath, from Georgian housing in the foreground, rising up past the Royal Crescent, Cavendish Crescent, Lansdown Place and Sion Hill, ending with Kingswood school and its various campus buildings at the top. 

This piece is Michael Sutherland’s third in the Bath series (others being ‘Bath Skyline’ and ‘Royal Crescent’, which both sold within week of completion) and is one of those paintings that reveals new secrets with each viewing.
