Mama Bamboo

Roughly Four Thousand of Them.

That's about how many nappies one child gets through, which is not a number anyone mentions at the baby shower. Mama Bamboo makes bamboo nappies and wipes, and set out to improve the arithmetic without asking anyone to put up with leaks, which, frankly, nobody should have to.

It Works, Which Was the Difficult Part.

In 2020 Mother & Baby named them Best Performance Disposable Nappy. Not best eco nappy. Best nappy. They're also a certified B Corp, which means an outside body has been through the books rather than the company simply saying nice things about itself. We're a little envious, if we're honest.

Honest About the Compost.

They're unusually candid that the compostable parts need an industrial composter, not the heap at the bottom of the garden. Most of the category would have let you find that out on your own.
