MeowBaby is hand-made in Poland and takes the reasonable view that a ball pit can exist inside a house without announcing itself in primary colours from three rooms away. Covers come in boucle, velvet, cotton and corduroy, in the sort of muted palette that has to live alongside a sofa somebody chose on purpose. The textiles are OEKO-TEX certified, and every cover unzips and goes in the wash, which is the single most useful feature of anything a small child is allowed near.
