Kidozia
Furniture built to the scale of the people who will actually use it.
Kidozia makes children's furniture in Hungary, and it starts from a rather sensible observation: small people very much want to do things for themselves, and most of the furniture in the house is a good three feet too tall for the job. So the chairs, tables, bookshelves and beds are built at their height, in the Montessori spirit of letting children reach, choose and tidy up by themselves, at least in principle.
Most pieces are made in beech or pine, with rounded edges and clean lines, so they look perfectly at home in the living room as well as the playroom. The table and chair sets, in solid beech, suit children from about eighteen months to five and are sturdy enough to host every tea party in the house. There are learning towers too, for helping at the kitchen counter, which is either a brilliant idea or the end of tidy baking as you know it, and very possibly both.
