Linen, And the Leather Nobody Else Wanted.

KOOSdisain means "together design" in Estonian, which is fitting for a studio run by two textile graduates of the Estonian Academy of Arts who have been making things side by side in Tallinn since 2014. The main line is linen: tablecloths, towels, bedcovers, cushions and throws, all pre-washed so they arrive soft, do not shrink, and do not need ironing, which is the single most persuasive fact about any linen ever made.

The second line is made from scraps.

Furniture manufacturers throw away leather offcuts that are too small for a sofa. KOOSdisain collect them and turn them into oven mitts, pot holders, coasters and the details on their aprons. It started as a way to waste less and has become the part of the range people remember.

Made in Tallinn, some of it to order.

Production happens in their own studio and with selected Estonian sewing workshops, and they will make home textiles to order as well as from the standard collection. It is the sort of arrangement that produces very little waste and very few duplicates.
