Nordic Buddies is a Finnish company and an official Moomin licensee, which is worth saying first because it is both true and the entire point. They make socks, caps, wallets, coin purses, key rings and bottles under licence, and the trick they have managed is that the results read as accessories rather than souvenirs. Three licences, not one.

Alongside Moomin they hold licences for Pippi Longstocking and for the work of Mauri Kunnas, so the range covers a good deal more Nordic children's literature than most people expect. Sizes start at kids' caps and go up from there, and a fair proportion is bought by adults who are not pretending otherwise.
