Purple Turtle Co - Planet Friendly Gifts, Hand Packed in the UK by Someone Who Genuinely Means It
Purple Turtle Co did not begin as a gift company at all. It started as a free educational project about living more sustainably, with its founder handing out free water bottles to hikers in New Zealand, which is a rather more charming origin story than most. Beach clean-ups and free eco content followed. The gift sets came later, as a way of paying for all of it, and they still do.
Designed and hand packed, every single one
Every gift set is designed and hand packed in the UK, and some of the components are handmade from raw materials by the brand itself. Where a partner helps with manufacturing, Purple Turtle Co says so and names them, down to the soap maker who produces the soap bars. That sort of transparency is less common than it ought to be, and we rather like it. Each set arrives gift-box ready in recyclable packaging, and you can add a handwritten message at no extra cost.
Plants, pampering and very little plastic
The plant propagation sets are the bestsellers: glass vases and wooden plant labels for growing new plants from cuttings, with a propagation guide so nobody has to pretend they already knew how. There are also spa and beauty sets built around products that help cut single-use waste, which makes them a thoughtful present for someone who deserves a bath and a clear conscience at the same time.
Gifts that do a little good on the way
With every order, Purple Turtle Co makes a donation through Greenspark to fund ocean plastic recovery, tree planting and carbon offsetting, and it publishes live impact reports so you can see where it goes. You buy someone a lovely present, and a few plastic bottles come out of the sea as a result. Not a bad afternoon's work.
