Wake Up to Fresher Breath and Better Digestion

Tongue cleaning, or jihwa prakshalana, is rather a splendid Ayurvedic ritual that takes about as long as your morning coffee to transform how you feel. Each morning, this beautifully crafted tool gently removes the gunk that accumulates overnight (the Ayurvedic sort call it ama), helping freshen your breath, support digestion, and generally make you feel rather more like yourself.

Traditionally made from pure copper for its naturally antimicrobial and antiseptic properties, this marvellous little device maintains a balanced oral microbiome without being beastly to your helpful bacteria.

This is the sort of small morning habit that rather quietly changes everything. Scrape your tongue first thing, and you will immediately notice the difference. Rather good, honestly.

There is no warehouse. That is rather the point, and it does have consequences.

Every brand here packs and posts its own orders, in its own boxes, with tracked delivery. The brands you can see are the ones that ship to your country, so your parcel is usually making a fairly short journey: a potter in Bristol posting to Britain, a studio in California posting within America.

Which does mean that an order from three brands arrives as three parcels, posted by three different people, on three different days. Whether that is an inconvenience or a small extended birthday rather depends on your temperament. It also means three lots of postage, shown before you pay, because we would rather mention it here than at the till.

Roughly how long

Counted in working days from the day your parcel is dispatched, for a parcel travelling within its own region:

  • Within the UK: 2 to 4 working days
  • Within Europe: 5 to 10 working days
  • Everywhere else: 7 to 14 working days

Coming from further afield, a workshop on another continent, will take longer. We would rather not promise and then surprise you.

Estimates, not promises. Each brand sends its own tracking, so you will know where things stand.

Need help? Just ask. Our small team is here. Full detail on our Shipping and Delivery page.

Thirty days from delivery to tell us you have changed your mind, and fourteen more to get it back to us. No reason required, and we will not make you give one.

You are allowed to open it and try it on. Handle it as you would in a shop, and we will not quibble. Handle it as you would a rental car and we may deduct something for the difference.

Return postage is yours to pay, because the brand at the other end is a workshop rather than a warehouse. If you cancel within the first fourteen days we also refund the standard cost of sending it out to you, and after that the original delivery cost stays with you. Either way the money goes back the way it came, within fourteen days of the parcel reaching the brand or of you sending us proof of postage, whichever comes first.

We cannot do exchanges, since every brand ships from its own studio. Send back what you have and place a new order.

A few things cannot come back: anything made or personalised to your order, sealed beauty products once the seal is broken, anything perishable, pierced jewellery once the hygiene seal is broken, and underwear, swimwear or hosiery unless the hygiene strip is intact. Footwear needs to come back unworn in its original box.

If something arrives damaged, faulty or not as described, none of the above applies. It costs you nothing, and we sort it.

Just email mail@brixbailey.com and we will guide you through it. The full policy is on our Returns and Refunds page.
