Specialty Coffee That Brews In Its Own Bag.
Good coffee away from the kitchen has historically involved a certain amount of equipment, a certain amount of faith, and a plunger rolling about at the bottom of a rucksack. The Danes, being the Danes, looked at all this and quietly solved it. The Coffeebrewer is a kraft paper pouch with a filter built into it: you pour in hot water, wait a few minutes, and pour out proper filter coffee. No machine, no plunger, no pretending the sachet in the hotel room counts.
How It Actually Works.
Each pouch holds around twenty grams of freshly ground specialty coffee behind an internal filter, with a thin base that lets the whole thing stand up on its own while it brews. The extraction sits somewhere between a French press and a pour over, so you get the body of the first and the clarity of the second, and because roughly half the brew rests below the filter line, the cup you pour twenty minutes later is still the cup you wanted. There is a Teabrewer built on the same idea for anyone who takes their mornings more gently, and it pours very happily into whatever you have in the cups and mugs cupboard.
Roasted By Hand In Denmark.
Everything starts at a small roastery in Middelfart, where single origin beans and house blends are roasted in modest batches rather than by the tonne. The single estate coffees are chosen and roasted to bring out what that particular farm does well, which is rather the point of buying coffee by its origin in the first place.
